—A Faith-Based Program for Substance Use That Inspires Hope And Renews Minds
Empower Yourself With Tools to Transform Lives
Did you know that two-thirds of adults are directly impacted by addiction, either personally or within their family [1]? Studies show these numbers continue to rise in recent years, and the consequences of substance use impacts nearly every aspect of people’s lives.
Traditional 12-step groups like Alcoholics Anonymous and Narcotics Anonymous are often the go-to faith-centered solutions for substance use. While it is well established that these programs have helped millions of people over the years, there is much debate in the scientific world about it’s effectiveness[2]. In other words, it’s not for everyone.
Luckily, there is another option out there, one that gives faith-based leaders and mental health professionals a step-by-step, week-by-week instruction manual to transform lives: the Choose Freedom™ Program.
This faith-based model allows you to deliver the accountability and support needed for a transformative experience. As a licensed Choose Freedom™ facilitator, you will feel empowered to move people toward God and away from a toxic substance. The healing tools you receive through this program will help individuals transform their minds and their bodies with biblically based and scientifically supported methodologies. With your help, these individuals will find freedom from the strongholds that addictive substances create and renew their connection with God.
Are you ready to transform lives?
“The relationship between science and God’s Word is just brilliant….It serves as the basis for spiritual healing, which is profound and it’s dramatic and it’s transformational. The changes that I am seeing in people’s lives represent everything that the bible promises for us, that Jesus promises to us. It is the most joyful work I have ever done”
Why the Choose Freedom™ Program Works

12-Week Journey
Traditional rehab programs are limited in the amount of time they can work with individuals (typically for 30-40 days), and then they are released from a protected environment into the world in which they will be subject to the life triggers that got them there in the first place. Many referrals are made to 12-step programs like AA or Celebrate Recovery, which works well for some, but again, these options are not for everyone. The relapse rate post rehab is substantially high and generally cannot be tracked accurately because of the non-response of relapsers.
Choose Freedom™ takes a different approach. Throughout this program’s 12 week course, daily devotional practices, prayers, and reflections, individuals will find freedom from the psychological slavery of alcohol or any other toxic substance they are engaging in. They learn how to overcome the obsession, break habits, and live a substance-free life filled with peace, joy, and God’s presence.
By the time these individuals complete our 12-week course with you, you will have given them access to the most important core concepts necessary for choosing a substance free life moving forward.

A Supportive Community
Healing happens best within a community. For this reason, the Choose Freedom™ program is designed to operate in a group setting. As the leader of this faith-based support program, you will help individuals by providing the accountability and support they need to find freedom from psychological slavery. You can be the supportive community or create one with several others.
Furthermore, all licensed facilitators are a part of their own supportive community. You can participate (at your option) in weekly calls alongside other organizational facilitators, counselors, and coaches delivering the Choose Freedom™ program. Together, these program providers form a mastermind meeting that can help various facilitators with unique challenges encountered during the program.
Finally, you will have access to resources designed specifically for our program providers through a member-only portal. These materials will give you and your participants helpful assets as you work through the Core Concepts and other aspects of the program together.
“I’ve been given the privilege and a front row seat to people shifting their focus from darkness to light, from the power of Satan to the power of God.”

The Core Concepts: Choose Freedom™’s Unique Approach to Healing
1. The Truth About Temptation
This teaching parallels the temptation Adam and Eve faced in the Garden of Eden and the challenges we experience with substances. By exploring this story, we uncover timeless truths about temptation and how to overcome it with God’s guidance.
2. I Get To!
This concept emphasizes a mindset shift—from seeing change as something participants “have to” do to recognizing it as an opportunity that they “get to” embrace. When program participants practice new habits, they experience the transformation God promises.
3. Capture Your Thoughts
Rooted in 2 Corinthians 10:5, this concept teaches the importance of capturing every thought and making it obedient to Christ. Incorporating principles from Positive Intelligence, we explore practical strategies to replace harmful thoughts with ones that align with God’s truth.
4. The Science of Love and Fear
Based on 1 John 4:18, this lesson dives into God’s perfect love, which drives out fear, and explains how fear disrupts our spiritual and physical well-being.
5. Finding Truth
Cognitive dissonance—the struggle of holding competing beliefs—can hinder progress. This concept guides participants to discover the truth about substances, God’s Word, and their circumstances, providing clarity and freedom through alignment with God’s truth.
6. The Lord’s Prayer
Each stanza of the Lord’s Prayer holds profound meaning and power. This concept helps participants apply the prayer to their substance-free journey, revealing its guidance and strength for daily life.
7. Forgiveness of Self
Forgiveness is secured through Christ’s sacrifice, but forgiving oneself can be challenging. This concept walks through agreeing with God’s forgiveness, releasing guilt, and fully embracing His grace.
8. Forgiveness of Others
Unforgiveness can hinder spiritual and emotional freedom. This concept explores how to release the debt others owe us, entrusting it to God.
9. The Greatest Commandments
Jesus emphasized loving God with all your heart, soul, and mind and loving your neighbor as yourself. This concept explores the balance of these commands.
10. Finding Purpose
Freedom from substances isn’t about deprivation; it’s about replacement. This concept encourages participants to discover their God-given purpose, bringing joy, peace, and fulfillment as they align their lives with Kingdom values.
11. It’s Addictive
This teaching breaks down how the body responds to addictive substances, offering a science-based perspective that addiction is not a character defect but a biological process.
12. The Full Armor of God
Drawing from Ephesians 6, this concept equips participants with God’s spiritual tools to stand firm against challenges.
How Do I Know If This Is Right For My Organization?
This program is for organizations and mental health professionals who understand the magnitude of the mental health problems associated with substance use disorder today. For those that are resistant to other faith-based 12-step programs, the Choose Freedom™ Program provides a different language around substance use that has become problematic. This program encourages licensed professionals to create an empathetic, gentle and compassionate setting so participants can discover that God’s instruction manual, the Bible, was written because of his never-ending love for us.
The Choose Freedom™ Program is the perfect faith-based support program for providers who want to help individuals connect with the Holy Spirit and use their God-given talents for the Kingdom. It is made to work in a variety of settings, including through churches, coaching programs, counseling centers, and rehab facilities.
How God’s Word Intersects
Biblical Literacy
Spiritual growth occurs when individuals engage in daily application of God’s word, forgive themselves and others, and recognize that life’s problems can be solved using God’s Word. Once you become a program provider, you can facilitate this growth for your participants.
Secondary Touchpoint
While spiritual growth can change lives, its transformational strength increases by engaging a person’s time, talents, and connection to the community. The Choose Freedom™ Program incorporates these concepts into the entire 12 weeks of curriculum.
Reaching the Next Generation
By participating in this faith-centered solution for substance use disorder, individuals see the church and, more importantly, God as the ultimate problem solver. By ending the psychological slavery of addiction, these program participants also break the cycle of generational sin and increase their family involvement. This healing can positively impact future generations by ending the patterns of substance misuse and abuse.
